Hello,
Ladies...
I'd
like to read to you today from Eccl
3:1-8.
"There is a time for everything, and a season for every
activity under heaven: a time to be born and a time to die, a
time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time
to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to
weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to
embrace and a time to refrain, a time to search and a time to
give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to
tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to
speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a
time for peace."
I
know that right now you may feel you have too much unwanted
time on your hands……too much time to think.
But
I wonder…..Do You really know what time it is?
Some
of you may wonder if it’s time to get married, or time to
end a bad relationship. Is it time to change jobs…or get a
job? Some of you may have been thinking it’s time to change
your whole life style, to get rid of the garbage you’ve
allowed to enter your life, to grow spiritually, maybe get
involved with a church.
From
the moment we are born, our ‘Life Clock’ starts ticking.
We look at a baby, and we think, “That child has 70
or 80 years ahead of them.
But the reality is, that child is losing time at the
rate of 86,400 seconds each and every day.
Yet
many people seem to never even notice the time.
They
think that tomorrow or next week will be the best time to do
this or that.
Someone
should tell us, right at the start of our lives, that we are
dying. Maybe then
we wouldn’t “live for tomorrow”.
Maybe then we would realize that the only time we have
control over is “now.”
The
problem with “Tomorrow”, is that when it finally gets
here, it’s called “Today”, and all those things that we
have the best of intentions of doing can slip away and be lost
forever, one unused day at a time.
Each
of us should pause occasionally, and remind ourselves that the
clock is ticking.
That same clock that began to tick the moment we drew
our first breath, will someday stop, and we will draw our
last.
You
know, time is a pretty important thing.
If we had known what time that plane would slam into
the twin towers and pentagon, just think of the lives
that would have been saved.
One minute could have made all the difference.
What
time is it in your life, right now?
Is
it time for you to think about the eternity after this life
?
Is it time for you
to accept Jesus as your personal Savior?
It
IS time….if
you have never sincerely done so before.
It
IS time….if
your life is not working without Jesus.
It
IS time….if
your sick of the way your living now.
It
IS time for you to make that commitment if you hear a soft
whisper, deep within you, saying “Now”.
“I
am aware that I am a sinner…Now. I desire to be different…Now.
I long to have a life, and friends that build me up,
instead of pulling me down…Now.
If
that is the way you are feeling, then it is time you ended
your waiting. Not
“tomorrow….but “now”.
Tomorrow is uncertain.
Tomorrow may not even come.
If there is one thing the Sept. 11 tragedy should have
taught us, it’s that the chance we have this minute may be a
chance we will never have again.
Satan
will always offer us something to encourage us to wait, but
there is a “right” time to submit to God.
That time is “Now”.
2
Corinthians 6:2says,
“Today is the day of
salvation”.
Whether
one goes to Heaven or Hell is dependent on whether or not they
take just one minute of time in their life to accept Jesus
Christ, and make a decision to live for Him.
Jesus
says, “I am the way, the truth, and
the life; no one comes to the Father except through me.”
John
14: 6
The
Bible says there is no other name in Heaven, Earth, or under
the Earth by which any one will be saved other than Jesus
Christ. Not your
mother’s name, nor your father’s or your mate’s. Your physic or your guru’s name will not open Heaven’s
gate to you.
Your
clock is ticking down,
letting you know you are running out of time to do what God
requires of you. The
first step is accepting Christ as your savior.
The second step is living the life God has for you.
I
wonder, what would you say to your child, if you knew today is
the last time you will get to see them?
What would you say to your parents, to your mates and
your friends if knew this was your last chance to talk to
them?
John
3:16 says,
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only
son, that whosoever believes in Him will not perish, but have
everlasting life”.
That sacrifice has already been made for You.
If
today should be the last time you will have the opportunity to
accept the eternity with God that Jesus died to give
you….What will your answer be?
I
ask you again, Ladies, “What time is it?”
IS
THIS THE DAY OF YOUR SALVATION?
