Welcome To Wren's Wonderful
World
Where life is sometimes a
"little piece of Heaven"
Heaven On Earth is..........
July
twenty-eighth, nineteen sixty and nine
A baby girl's born, the Angel is mine
When I was just twelve, my heart chose a name
I knew you'd be 'Shana' when this wondrous day came.
"Johnell"
would be nice, I heard your father, John, say...
And your three older brothers chimed in right away
So the certificate of birth said that's who you'd be,
But my heart whispered " I love you
. precious
Shana Louise"
"This
just isn't right, Dear Husband, You see,
Someone named 'Johnell' is a stranger to me.
All these years that I've waited and longed for this
child,
Now I can't remember her name, and it's driving me wild!"
So
we went to our doctor, who said not to worry
He could fix our mistake, but he'd have to hurry
He sent revised information to the powers that be
That you were not 'Johnell'
.but 'Shana Louise'.
Now
there was nothing to do but love you and wait.
We'd have your birth papers in six weeks to eight
What a surprise! The state was so eager to please
They sent one for 'Johnell', and one for 'Shana Louise'!
(Now
you've often thought your personality's split
I assure you, Dear Daughter, it's not hurt you a bit
Your charming, and witty, intelligent
fun
But, yes, it is true
your TWO daughters in one!!!)
As
you grew up, we gave more names to you
"Precious", "Beauty", "Special
Angel " and of course "Shana-Poo"
And for thirty-one years, my heart gets on its knees
And thanks God for you
my precious Shana Louise.

"Special" is a word
that is used to describe something one-of-a-kind
Like a hug or a sunset or a person who spreads
love with a smile or kind gesture.
"Special" describes people who act from
the heart and keep in mind the hearts of others.
"Precious" applies to something that is
admired and of great value and which can never be
replaced. "Special"and "Precious"
are the words that best describes you.

Happy Birthday, My Precious Shana
May
all that you count as precious
bring you happiness as you celebrate
I
love you
Mom
A Child Never Leaves Their Mother's Heart
When they put your small
perfect body in my arms,
I looked down into your angelic face,
And the feeling of love overwhelmed me.
I talked to you and sang you sweet soft lullabies.
You grew so fast.
You demanded an answer to everything.
"Why was it dark at night?"
"How could the birds fly?"
And the questions I couldn't answer.
"Why did God let bad things happen?"
You saw the world with such clarity.
Everything to you was simple and beautiful.
And through your eyes, I saw it too.
When you looked up into the sky
And asked why it stretched all the way to the ground,
For the first time I saw the true grandeur of the world.
I had intended to teach you so much,
But it was you who taught me.
I look at you now and wonder where the years have gone.
I see in your beautiful eyes,
The anticipation and hunger for life.
I hope I have taught you everything you need to know.
It's up to you now.
The world belongs to you.
Every Home Should Have a Daughter
By
Helen Steiner Rice
Every
home should have a daughter,
For there's nothing like a girl
To keep the world around her
In one continuous whirl.
From the moment she arrives on earth,
And on through womanhood,
A daughter is a female
Who is seldom understood.
One minute she is laughing
The next she starts to cry,
Man just can't understand her
And there's just no use to try.
She is soft and sweet and cuddly,
But she's also wise and smart,
She's a wondrous combination
Of a mind and brain and heart.
And even in her baby days
She's just a born coquette,
And anything she really wants
She manages to get.
For even at a tender age
She uses all her wiles
And she can melt the hardest heart
With the sunshine of her smiles.
She starts out as a rosebud
With her beauty unrevealed,
Then through a happy childhood
Her petals are unsealed.
She's soon a sweet girl graduate,
And then a blushing bride,
And then a lovely woman
As the rosebud opens wide.
And some day in the future,
If it be God's gracious will,
She, too, will be a mother
And know that reverent thrill
That comes to every mother
Whose heart is filled with love
When she beholds the "angel"
That God sent her from above.
And there would be no life at all
In this world or the other
Without a darling daughter
Who, in turn, becomes a mother.
My
Dear Wonderful Daughter Shana:
This page is done with a heart full of love for you and
for what you have given to me. You are now a woman and I
wish you the best that life can bring you.
I
remember your first steps and the joy of watching the
smile on your face as you took them. You didn't think you
could do it,but your face was full of happiness when you
did. You always loved to dress up to look like a little
lady. I would sit back and watch you ...amazed at what
you could do with all of your clothes.
I guess that was the dress-up stage you went through(How
long DOES this stage last?*S*)
Sweetie,you're not just dressing-up anymore.
You are a Lady
now with a life of your own, but I want you to know that
I am always one step behind you if you need a helping
hand. The love I have for you will never stop, and you
will always be my Special Angel...my Darling Brown-eyed
Baby Girl...My Precious Shana.
Always
look at this world for what you can give to it and depend
only on what you know you can do for yourself. Never
forget to ask yourself "WWJD?", for you will
continue to grow from this and The Lord will show you the
way.
Shana-Poo,
I am so proud of you and I know that you have worked very
hard to get where you are today.I want you to know your
mama thinks you have done very well for yourself and for
your three daughters.
You are a Wonderful Mother, A Loving Sister, A Thoughtful
Granddaughter, A Precious Daughter, and a Special Friend.....
.....and I love you with all my heart.....
Now,
find that fun-loving little girl that still lives
within you
and take her out to celebrate
The
Wonderful Day of Your Birth
LUB.....Mom
