"Blessed are
the meek, for they shall inherit the earth."
Matthew 5:5
It is true, in His realm, that the
meek do inherit.
I don't believe He meant this earth, as we know it today.
I believe He meant the earth He created in the beginning.
The earth where there was no pain, no heartache, or
unforgiveness. An earth where His love surrounded
every living creature. No questions asked. No
alms to pay. No purple robes to wear. An earth He
created and saw that it was good.
The Bible tells us He rested.
That doesn't mean He quit. He only sat back and
admired His marvelous handiwork.
From His seed, through Adam and Eve, through Noah,
the family of Abraham, the toils of Job, the
millions of Christians and Jews persecuted and killed in
His name, this is His legacy to us.
From His seed, there was Ruth, there was Elizabeth, Mary
the virgin, Mary Magdelene, Susanna and then there was
Joanna. Women, following His Son. Women who
laid down their fortunes and their husbands fortunes to
follow a man. Those women, who we are now kindred
spirits with, urge us on through the pain, heartache and
unforgiveness. Their stories strengthen us and remind
us of other times, both good and bad.
Thank God, for the strong women, Sara and her generosity,
through her, the earth's faithfulness to Him was
strengthened. The women of the Bible are often
overlooked.
Tis a pity, for God chose a woman to bring forth
His Son.
So often, we forget to kneel before
Him....To thank Him for our Christian women, the
Christian mothers, whose strength and prayers bind our
homes together with His Spirit and love...guiding our
sons and daughters toward that wonderful time when we
shall inherit the earth.
That glorious earth that He created in the beginning.
A
Woman Of Noble Character Is Worth Far More Than Rubies
"She is clothed with
strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.
She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on
her tongue.
She watches over the affairs of her household and does
not eat the bread of idleness.
Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also,
and he praises her:
Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman
who fears the Lord is to be praised.
Give her the reward she has earned, and let her works
bring her praise at the city gate."
Proverbs: 25-31 (NIV)
