Out of the rubble you've made into
graves,
Beats the heart of America, from the mess that you've made
Look closely, I think you may be surprised,
Like a phoenix, the Eagle is now on the rise.
If you thought this nation, would be easy to take
Just check out our history, you've made a mistake
Our heroes are many, and for each one that falls
Two more will stand up, to answer the call.
Our country was founded so that we could be free
Now shattered and torn, but soon you will see
Though our hearts may be broken, Still our spirit is strong
More determined than ever To sing freedom's song.
While we are mourning the destruction you
sent,
Be aware we're not broken, just slightly bent
Lady Liberty smiles, Old Glory still waves
And the Eagle still flies in the home of the brave.
